My name is Manju Saran, and I was born in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. Most of my early education took place at Jhansi and Agra, UP intermittently- as my father was an officer in the Indian Railways, and had a transferable job.

My creative journey started right from my childhood as I learnt the power of art when my loving parents encouraged me to participate in classical Kathak dancing (a traditional form of Indian dancing). Fortunately, due to my dedication to Kathak dancing, I succeeded pretty well in the dance, and with Gods' grace, I happened to receive First Prize in "All India Special Competition" of Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, UP, besides numerous awards in Madhya Pradesh state and Vidharba region. While growing up, I also had a lot of interest in sports and played All India level Hockey Tournament and Badminton with Railways Team.

In the last decade, I started my heart-hidden hobby of painting. A self taught artist, so far I haven't recieved any formal training in this art of painting. I am of course, forever thankful to those who have guided me out of goodwill. I hope you enjoy my gallery and provide comments, if any for encouragement and tips on how to improve my art better!

When not in my studio, I enjoy singing in Smule app, playing with my grandkids, listening to Old Classical Songs, Cooking and Gardening.
